# August 2026 Release

**Release Type:** Major Feature Release\
**Release Version:** v0.8.0

***

## Overview

The August 2026 release makes **Agentic Studio sandboxes start in under a second**, adds **snapshot, fork and rollback** so a sandbox becomes a workspace you can return to, and reworks how you get onto the platform with **account verification**. This release includes:

* Sandboxes that are ready the moment you ask for one, with no wait for provisioning
* **Snapshot, fork and rollback** for sandboxes, so you can branch from a working state or return to it
* **Account verification (KYC)** before your first billable action, with your verification status visible in your profile
* **Editable organisation and project details**, plus a default quota of **20 projects per organisation**
* A clear **Killed** state when the platform stops a GPU instance
* **Image input** on the chat completions API, plus **Kimi K3** in the model catalogue
* Payment currency now taken from your billing profile rather than your network location

Together, these updates make sandbox work durable rather than disposable, give admins real control over their organisations, and remove friction from signup through to a running workload.

## What's New

### Account & Verification *(New, Common)*

Verification is now part of getting started, and applies before your first billable action.

* Complete verification once, from the platform, with separate flows for **Indian and non-Indian individual** customers
* Verification status is linked to your **billing profile**, so you don't re-enter details you have already given us
* Services that provision paid resources stay **unavailable until verification completes**, and unlock automatically once it does
* **See where you stand** — your KYC, phone and email verification status now appear in your profile
* Password requirements are now shown upfront on the signup page, rather than only after a failed attempt
* Documents you submit are stored in private, restricted storage

See [KYC Verification](/getting-started/kyc-verification.md) for what to have ready and how long it takes.

***

### Organisations & Projects

* **Update your organisation and project details** — names and descriptions are now editable after creation
* **Switch organisation or project without losing your work.** A sidebar on the deployment screen lets you change either one in place, so your GPU, VM, SSH and pricing selections survive the switch
* **Project quotas are now enforced**, with a default of **20 projects per organisation**

***

### GPU AI Service

* **A distinct Killed state.** GPU instances stopped by the platform are now shown as **Killed** and held rather than silently restarted, with an error message explaining why
* Storage size can be typed directly on the deploy screen, without the slider overriding your value

***

### VM Service

* **Memory and disk usage are now reported correctly** for virtual machines

### Agentic Studio — Sandboxes

Sandboxes are the focus of this release. They start faster, they keep your work, and they tell you more when something goes wrong.

* **Sub-second starts.** Sandboxes are pre-warmed and handed out on request, so there is no provisioning wait
* **Fork** a sandbox from a saved snapshot to branch your work without disturbing the original
* **Roll back** to a saved state when a step goes wrong, instead of starting over
* Restores are now **version-stable** — if an older snapshot can no longer be restored onto the current platform, you are told in the UI rather than left with a failed restore
* **Out-of-memory crashes** are now recorded and reported, so a sandbox that stops has an explanation
* Crash cause and storage reset status are available from the API
* Filter the list-sandboxes API by **name** and **status**

**Coming soon:** Automatic clean-up of idle sandboxes. The lifecycle controls are built but stay switched off until sandboxes can resume automatically, so nothing of yours will be reaped in the meantime.

### Agentic Studio — Agents *(Beta, updated)*

* **Project and organisation-level quotas** for agents, so admins can set their own ceilings rather than relying on platform defaults
* **OpenClaw device pairing** now happens automatically — you can start using OpenClaw on the platform without pairing your device by hand

**Coming soon:** Full pause-and-resume support for agents, which remains available for Sandboxes only.

**Note:** Agents remain in Beta.

***

### Network Egress Controls

* Egress policy enforcement has been tightened, so the policies you set are applied consistently to **Sandboxes** and **Agents**

***

### AI Inference

* **Image input on chat completions** — send images alongside text to the OpenAI-compatible `/chat/completions` route
* **Kimi K3** from Moonshot AI joins the model catalogue
* **Type exact values in the Model Playground.** Temperature, Top-p and Max Tokens now accept typed input instead of slider-only control

***

### Billing & Payments

* **Payment currency now follows your billing profile.** The country on your organisation's billing profile determines the currency you are charged in, rather than the network location you happen to be connecting from
* **Project and organisation-level quotas** for sandboxes and agents, so you can cap consumption inside your own organisation

***

### Platform & Navigation

* The homepage now surfaces **Agentic Studio**, **AI Templates**, **VM Service** and **Storage** directly, so you can launch straight into a service instead of hunting for it

***

## Known Issues

### VM Service

* Pre-built AI templates are still not available for GPU VMs — you will need to install dependencies manually for now. (Templates for **GPU Pods** are new this release; GPU VMs follow later.)

### Agentic Studio — Sandboxes

* **Older snapshots may not restore.** A snapshot taken on an earlier platform version can be incompatible with the current restore path. Where that happens, the UI tells you before the restore is attempted; take a fresh snapshot to carry the state forward.
* **Writing a file larger than your allocated storage** does not fail immediately — you will see the error only after the sandbox stops for exceeding its limit. Crash reporting now makes the cause clearer, and we are still working on catching this earlier.
* **Forking through the SDK** is still being stabilised alongside the new fork and rollback work. Forking through the CLI is unaffected.

### Agentic Studio — Agents

* **Full pause-and-resume (memory snapshot) is not available for Agents yet.** Snapshot, fork and rollback in this release cover Sandboxes only.
* You may occasionally notice a short delay before the Agents view refreshes automatically.
* The OpenCode template icon will get a visual refresh in an upcoming release.

### AI Inference

* When manually choosing the number of GPUs for a deployment, only certain counts (1, 2, 4, 8, and so on) are supported today. Choosing an unsupported number can cause the deployment to fail. We recommend using the automatic configuration option, which picks a supported count for you.
* The benchmarking view can currently overlap with the model details view. A cleaner layout is coming soon.

## Notes

This release is about making Agentic Studio sandboxes something you can rely on for real work. Sub-second starts remove the wait that shaped the first-run experience, and snapshot, fork and rollback mean a sandbox holds its state instead of being thrown away. Around that, account verification smooths the path onto the platform, and editable organisations, project quotas and in-place project switching give admins control they previously had to ask us for.

Sandboxes and Agents remain in Beta. Agent pause-and-resume is still in progress and will be announced when it lands.

As always, your feedback shapes what we build next. If you run into issues or have suggestions, reach out via a support ticket or contact your NeevCloud account team.

## Understanding Beta

Features marked as *(Beta)* are fully available to all users and ready to use, but are still being actively improved. Here is what to expect:

* **Core functionality works.** Beta features are not experimental — they are production-capable, but have not yet met all the stability and completeness thresholds required for General Availability (GA).
* **Frequent improvements.** You can expect updates to performance, reliability, and functionality in every release cycle.
* **Some gaps remain.** Certain views or flows may not be fully complete yet. Known gaps are listed in the Known Issues section above.
* **APIs may evolve.** Core endpoints are stable, but some parameters or response formats may be refined before GA.
* **No full SLA coverage.** Beta features are not covered by the same uptime commitments as GA features.
* **Your feedback matters.** Beta is a collaborative phase — the issues you raise and the workflows you share directly shape what we prioritise next. Please reach out.

Beta features graduate to GA when they meet our internal quality, performance, and completeness thresholds. GA graduation is always announced in the release notes.
