# Promotional Credit System

Promotional Credits help you explore and build on NeevCloud without adding a payment method immediately. Depending on how the credits were granted, they can be used for specific NeevCloud products for a limited period. Once your promotional credits are exhausted or expire, billing automatically continues using your other available credit balances.

## What Are Promotional Credits?

NeevCloud may offer Signup Credits to eligible users during account creation. When available, these credits help you start using supported NeevCloud services without purchasing credits first.

Additional promotional credits may also be granted by the NeevCloud team through marketing campaigns, proof-of-concept (POC) engagements, partnerships, or support resolutions.

Each promotional credit grant includes:

* Credit amount
* Applicable products
* Grant date
* Expiry date
* Current status

Note: Promotional credits cannot be withdrawn as cash or transferred to another account.

## How You Receive Credits

There are multiple ways promotional credits can be added to your account.

### Signup Credits

NeevCloud may offer Signup Credits to eligible users during account creation. When available, the credits are automatically added to your wallet.

No coupon code or manual request is required.

You'll also receive a confirmation email containing:

* Credit amount
* Eligible products
* Expiry date
* Quick link to start using supported services

### Promotional Grants

The NeevCloud team may issue additional promotional credits for different events such as:

* Marketing campaigns
* Proof-of-concept (POC) engagements
* Partnership onboarding
* Customer support resolutions
* Special promotional events

Whenever a promotional grant is added, you'll receive an email notification with the credit amount, applicable products, and expiry date.

## Credit Types

Your wallet may contain multiple types of credits at the same time.

Credits are always consumed according to their priority.

## Spend Order

Whenever a billable request is made, NeevCloud automatically deducts credits in the following order:

1. Signup Credits
2. Promotional Credits
3. Referral Credits
4. Paid Credits

This ensures credits with the shortest validity are used before longer-lasting balances.

## Where Credits Can Be Used

Each promotional credit grant specifies exactly which products it supports.

For example:

* Signup Credits may be valid for Sandbox and Model API only.
* A manually issued promotional grant may apply to Sandbox and Model API.
* Referral and Paid Credits can be used across all supported products.

If a service is not included in the grant, promotional credits are skipped and the next eligible credit balance is used automatically.

## Checking Your Credit Balance

You can view your available credits from **Organization → Billing → Wallet** in the NeevCloud Console.

The Wallet page provides an overview of your credit usage, including:

* This Month's Spend
* Credits Used
* Remaining Credits
* Credits Breakdown by credit type
* Credits Usage Log showing transaction history

Note: If a credit type has an expiry date or product restrictions, those details will be displayed with the corresponding credit grant when available.

## Alerts & Notifications

NeevCloud automatically notifies you about important credit events.

You'll receive notifications when:

* Promotional credits are added
* 80% of a credit grant has been consumed (with a reminder to add credits)
* Credits have been fully consumed
* Credits have expired

Notifications are delivered through email and displayed inside the NeevCloud Console.

## How Credits Are Applied During Billing

For every billable request, NeevCloud checks which credit buckets are eligible for the selected product.

If promotional credits are applicable:

1. Signup Credits are deducted first.
2. Promotional Credits are deducted next.
3. Referral Credits are used if available.
4. Paid Credits are used last.

If promotional credits are not eligible for the selected service, billing automatically skips them and uses the next applicable credit type.

Invoices clearly show how much was deducted from each credit bucket.

## Expiry

Each promotional credit grant has its own expiry date.

| Credit Type         | Expiry                        |
| ------------------- | ----------------------------- |
| Signup Credits      | 30 days after grant           |
| Promotional Credits | Per grant (typically 60 days) |
| Referral Credits    | 90 days after grant           |
| Paid Credits        | Never expires                 |

Unused promotional credits are not carried forward after they expire.

If your promotional credits expire, your services continue normally as long as you have Referral Credits, Paid Credits, or a valid payment method.

## Limitations

* Promotional credits can only be used for the products specified in the grant.
* Signup and Promotional Credits cannot be used for unsupported services.
* Credits cannot be exchanged for cash.
* Credits cannot be transferred between accounts.
* Multiple promotional grants can exist simultaneously.
* Expired credits cannot be restored or spent.

## Example Wallet

A user's wallet might contain multiple credit balances.

If the user makes a Sandbox request, credits are consumed in the order:

Signup → Promotional → Referral → Paid

If the user launches a GPU AI Service, Signup and Promotional Credits are skipped because they are not eligible, and billing begins with Referral Credits, followed by Paid Credits if needed.

## Warning for Unsupported Services

If a user attempts to use a service that is not covered by their promotional credits, NeevCloud displays a warning similar to the following:
