# Resizing Network Storage

NeevCloud lets you expand your Network Storage volumes instantly — no new volume creation, no data migration, and no interruption to running workloads.

## What Changes During a Resize

| What Changes | What Stays the Same |
| --------------------------------------------- | --------------------- |
| Provisioned storage capacity | Stored data |
| Monthly billing (from the moment you confirm) | Mount path (`/data`) |
|                                               | Running GPU instances |
|                                               | Free tier allocation  |

## How to Resize a Volume

1. Go to the **Storage Management** page from the NeevCloud console.
2. Locate the Network Storage volume you want to expand.
3. Click the **Resize** option on that volume.
4. Use the slider to select a new capacity.
   * **Minimum**: Your current provisioned size (you cannot reduce capacity).
   * **Maximum**: 1,024 GB (1 TB).
5. Review the updated cost estimate shown on screen.
6. Click **Confirm** to apply the change.

The resize completes immediately — your instance stays online and your data remains accessible throughout.

## Checking Your Actual Storage Usage

The NeevCloud console shows your **provisioned capacity**, not how much you have actually used. To see real disk usage, SSH into your GPU instance and run:

```bash
df -h /data
```

Check actual usage before resizing so you provision only what you need.

## Billing

* The first **100 GB** of Network Storage is complimentary.
* Storage beyond 100 GB costs **₹2/GB/month**.
* Billing for the new capacity begins immediately when you confirm the resize.
* The charge appears under your existing **Network Storage** line item — no new billing entry is created.

## Constraints and Eligibility

| Constraint           | Detail                                                            |
| -------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Eligible volume type | Network Storage only |
| Eligible volumes | Volumes created after the resize feature launch |
| Ineligible volumes | Volumes created before the feature launch; Local Disk volumes |
| Direction | Increase only — capacity cannot be reduced |
| Maximum size | 1,024 GB (resize option is disabled once the volume reaches 1 TB) |

> **Note**: If the **Resize** button is not visible for a volume, that volume was created before the resize feature was introduced and is not eligible for in-place expansion. Create a new volume and migrate your data if you need more capacity for an older volume.
